What to bring
- A valid government-issued photo ID. Don’t leave it in your car.
- Your ticket from Active.com. You can find it in your inbox, sent from noreply@awntx3.email.active.com or login to view it on your Active account.
NOTE: We recommend taking a screenshot of your QR Code for quick-reference when you check in at Registration! - We’re going cashless. Make sure you have a credit or debit card.
- Lastly, bring it all in a weather-proof bag you will leave in our Bag Drop area.
Start Times

- What to expect when you arrive: Bring your ticket and ID and prepare to display it at the registration tent.
- Start times will be strictly enforced. Each participant can only participate in the start wave they either selected or were automatically assigned if you didn't select a wave. There are no exceptions. Participants will be able to choose which wave within the hour you want to start in (:00, :15, :30, :45) based on space available. Heats will be first come first serve and persons wishing to start together should enter the loading zone as a group.
- Participant transfers can be requested via email no later than 11:59pm, two Fridays immediately prior to the scheduled event weekend for $20, paid by new participant. If you missed this deadline, the new participant interested in taking your spot should go to the event with proof that the original ticket holder wants to transfer the registration to him/her/them. On-site participant transfers will be handled at the Mudder Services tent. On-site participant transfers are subject to a $30 transfer fee paid for by the new participant on-site.
- What if I have questions? Have questions or need help? Visit our Mudder Services team when you arrive.
Parking
- How to get there: Upon exiting I-215, take Institution Rd to Verdemont Ranch Rd then follow Tough Mudder signs directing you into the parking lots.
- Attendants will direct you where to park your car. Registration is right next to the parking area.
Bag Drop
- Bag drop is included in your ticket price, and requires no additional fee.
- You'll receive a double-wristband at registration, one for your wrist and a matching one for your bag.
- The bag drop is in a contained but uncovered area. We HIGHLY encourage you to bring your own waterproof bag to store items in.
- We will have a supply of biodegradable plant-based bags from beyondGREEN available if needed. These bags will be available at Bag Check and the Rinse Station.
- Please do not leave any valuable items in your bag. Tough Mudder is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Parking is a short walk away, leave them in your car!
- Bag check is included with your race, but you can also enjoy all-day access to a personal locker to come and go as much as you please! Limited supply so reserve early by clicking on this link. Show your rental confirmation email on your phone or printed-out.
Spectators
- You can purchase Mudder Village passes for spectators from our event page. All tickets should be purchased in advance, and onsite spectator tickets will be sold until we hit capacity. To ensure entry, advanced tickets are highly encouraged.
- Spectators will check-in on event day the same way as participants. Please have your Ticket and government-issued photo ID ready.
NOTE: We recommend taking a screenshot of your QR Code for quick-reference when you check in at Registration! - Tough Mudder Kids: Registration of Tough Mudder Kids includes one spectator pass. Parents or guardians must be present with their Mini or Mighty Mudder at all times outside of the course
Waivers
- You will need to re-sign your waiver electronically before entering the event.
- You can do that here or on site when you check-in. We recommend signing electronically, prior to arriving, to make your check-in process easier.
Photography
- There will be event photographers placed on various obstacles on the course.
- A few days after the event, you will receive an email when the photos are available. At that time, you will be able to view and download your photos.
- Our system makes finding your photos super-easy! Upload a selfie and our facial recognition software will scan all the photos taken and return any matches.
Pro Tips
- To ensure you have the quickest and smoothest check-in, complete your waiver online before you go and have your ticket and ID out, ready to scan.
- Bring a fresh change of clothes, a towel and an extra layer if it’s cold. The rinse stations are cold water only.
- Pack all of this in a weather proof bag. Bag check is included in your ticket price, it’s located in a fenced-in, uncovered area. We’ll have some spare bags on-site, but best to bring your own. Don’t leave any valuables in your bag!
- After you check in, make sure your wristband is on nice and snug. You will need this throughout your time on course.
- Adults get lost too. Make sure you prearrange a meeting point with your spectators and teammates.

Hydration & Nutrition
- Contactless water stations will be available in the festival, in five locations on the course and at the finish line. Bring your own bottle, or use one of our disposable cups.
- PRIME Hydration, Tough Mudder’s Official Electrolyte Sports Drink, fills the void where great taste meets function. PRIME will be available on-course and at the finish to help you refresh, replenish, and refuel.
- Need a little boost before and after you hit the course? Ice cold cans of REIGN Total Body Fuel are available to help you fuel, refresh, and recover with zero sugar, zero calories and zero artificial flavors or colors.
- Look out for bananas and Kodiak bars on course.

Mudder Village Festival
- Mudder Village is filled with all the necessities for your day out, including food trucks, drinks, games, contests and great music.
- Please ensure you're keeping appropriate distance from persons outside your household or party.
- Visit the REIGN tent and make sure to grab a free REIGN x Tough Mudder neck gaiter, and don’t miss your chance to win some epic swag from the main stage.
- Participants will have the choice between a complimentary finisher beer or finisher hard seltzer provided by Oskar Blues. Cheers your muddy finish with a can of Dale's Lager or one of Wild Basin's Mixed Berry seltzer flavors!
- Visit the PRIME Hydration tent where they will be handing out their ready to drink bottles!
- Crack open a cold one and cheers the day with Hop Wtr! Hop Wtr is a non-alcoholic sparkling hop water crafted with bold hops and mood-boosting ingredients. With no alcohol, calories, carbs, or sugar, a can of Hop Wtr is a great way to unwind after a day in the mud.
- Look out for California Highway Patrol branded headbands hidden out on course! When you see it, grab it and bring it back to the California Highway Patrol tent in the festival to redeem for a prize!
- Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie, The Covenant, is partnering up with Tough Mudder to bring you “The Covenant Recovery Zone.” Recharge with a custom massage area, ice baths, special photo opps, and more, during the weekend.
- Make sure to stop by the Tough Mudder Gear Shop to grab apparel, gear, accessories and commemorative items from our brand new collection.
What To Wear
- Keep an eye on the weather as your event approaches. Be sure to bring sunscreen if it is warm and extra layers for the cold.
- You’ll want shoes with good tread and grip that drains well and quick drying layers, as you will be getting wet.
- Make sure any hats or glasses are tethered to you --they tend to pop off if you fall into a water pit.

- If you forget, there’s also a Gear Tent on site at the event. Make sure you drop in and get something to remember your day by.
Training
- If you’re looking to hit the finish line with confidence make sure you get your last minute tips from our Training Page.
- Make sure you meet all the obstacles that are waiting for you. Find the tips and tricks to make sure you can conquer them all.
Safety
- You MUST be able to swim 25 meters if you attempt water obstacles.
- If you do not feel comfortable completing any obstacle, DO NOT attempt it; simply continue on to the next obstacle.
- There are two electric obstacles on course, please do not attempt if you have a heart condition, metal in your body, history of neurological conditions, or are pregnant.
- Tough Mudder Kids: parents and guardians are not allowed to help on course, but will be in close proximity to viewing their Mini or Mighty Mudder on the course in most instances.
