Can I participate with my friends?
-
Yes. To ensure that you and your friends or team members are placed in the same unit, please ensure one team member creates a team in Active after registering, and other team members join that same team at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Units are capped at 22 persons.
-
-
What is the schedule?
-
Check in will open at 6:00 AM and all unit members must be checked in by 6:45 AM. The start ceremony will begin at 7:00 AM. Units are expected to complete their mission between 4 and 5PM, and the closing ceremony begins promptly at 5:15PM.

-
What does the challenge entail?
-
Participants will be assigned to units of 22 members each, and will embark on a full day mission, taking them on and off the Tough Mudder course. Your unit will come together as a team to take on physical, mental and survival challenges, while searching the terrain for specific components that must be returned to the base camp. Most importantly, your unit must start and finish together. No Mudders Left Behind.
-
At the Start, each unit will identify a leader and receive a unique mission map. The unit will adhere to the map’s information and timeframes for completion of the missions. Be ready to enlist your wayfinding and navigation skills and your abilities to effectively and efficiently communicate with your unit for 10+ hours.
-
If you ever wondered what special forces training was like, love a new challenge and are the type of adventure-seeker who’s prepared for whatever may come their way -- we’ll see you at the starting line.
-
-
Do I have to run? Are there obstacles?
-
There is no running required. There are no winners and losers, only your unit -- and the unit moves as one team. There’s no running required, but, the missions must be completed by 5PM.
Units will interact with Tough Mudder’s signature obstacles -- but not necessarily the traditional way. Scaling Everest blindfolded, recovering 50 pound blocks from the bottom of Blockness Monster, memorizing your team members' names in Arctic Enema before allowed to exit -- just to name a few.

-
Do I need special gear to participate?
-
A complete gear list will be released 14 days prior to the first event, but participants should plan on bringing a ruck or trekking pack, gloves and, most importantly, enough sustenance to complete the day. Other items may be helpful in completing the challenge and will be made known 14 days prior to the first event, these could include: 100’ of paracord, a compass, and handkerchief.

Plus -- a Challenge Bib that must be worn during the event, a finisher’s Headband, Tee and event specific Coin and Patch. Don’t forget about the finisher beer.
