Am I able to bring my a support crew or guide to Tough Mudder?
Tough Mudder is dedicated to lowering the barrier to entry for adaptive athletes and encourages the recruitment of teams to support on course. If you are running with a team of registered participants, there’s nothing else you need to do - just come to the event, check in with your ticket and run in your selected start wave.
If you would like to request complimentary entry for a course guide, you and your guide should both submit applications. Be sure to provide each other’s names and the event that you’d like to run on the application. Applications should be submitted at least 60 days before your event; please ensure that you’ve received approval prior to the event day.
Athletes requesting entry for a course guide may be asked to provide further proof of impairment. We understand that each athlete’s needs and impairments will be unique; however, to provide baseline guidance on the support needs of specific impairment categories, we generally approve the following number of guides for individual adaptive athletes:
Vision - Up to 1 complimentary guide
Intellectual - Up to 1 complimentary guide
Upper Extremity - Up to 2 complimentary guides
Lower Extremity - Up to 2 complimentary guides
Neuromuscular - Up to 2 complimentary guides
Seated Athletes - Up to 4 complimentary guides
Complimentary guides are required to remain with their registered athlete at all times on course.
At Endurance Series event, course guides that have received complimentary entries will not receive their own timing chips
